lovvit. its jaywalking galore. reiterates the one point that i believe: that rules are made for fools. the saigon traffic system, with hardly any traffic lights in sight, works perfectly well like clockwork; its gotta do with having loadsa respect for your fellow motorists and its all about “feeling” the situation. what i love most i guess is that sense of danger that triggers a slight rush of adrenaline before crossing and that huge sigh of relief when i make it safely to the other side. unfortunately a “system” like that would not work in singapore…
) dotting the main lobby. we were situated on the very cool/central District One – walking distance to almost every touristy site… thanks to french colonization, we got the Notre Dame Cathedral right smack in the centre of HCMC! hahaha! (i missed seeing the notre dame when i was in paris so… SCORE!) we’re also right next to the Ben Thanh Central Market. decided to hop over for some viet supper. the whole street smells of fish sauce.. but street itself was impeccably clean! sweet surprise
