i red in a book regarding religion and there was this lady in history whom ran down the street with a torch on her hand and a bucket of water on the other hand. When someone ask her what she was doing, she replied: ” i am gonna use the torch to burn down heaven and the bucket of water to extinguish hell because i don’t want people to love god for the promises of a good life in heaven but love him for who he is.” well religion is certainly important for many people as it provide comfort and some set of values for people. Howver ( not offence just saying what i feeel), i feel that people are living in a delusion as when they have questions, they tend to answer it like god knows and he will tell us when the time comes or using god as an answer is. i just feel that way but if u guys have any objections, i dont mind hearing them. Feel free to enlighten me.

Hey Ros, my gf and I used to adore your show and really love the authenticity of every aspect of you and Shan. It was a real joy to listen to your show when we are both in the car on the way home from work. You guys were so genuine and perfect, until that Bimbo Ris Low came along. What is wrong with your station? Why are they (mediacorp) doing this to you? She can’t even string a proper sentence. Why don’t they just invite all the attention seekers such as Foyce, Xiaxue, etc and add to the fake factor. It really destroys the good work you guys have accumulated over all these months within 1 evening. I feel so sad for you.
I do agree that Ris is definitely the bad apple on the show, but i think you should’ve tried harder to go with the flow and maybe improvise a little. Afterall that’s what DJs do? I don’t know I’m not a DJ but yea, I guess everyone will understands why you get so worked up, but you also gotta spare a thought for your partner Shan. If he left the station just like you did, listeners will ultimately suffer. It’s not like you ain’t got the ability to keep the show going. Anyway best of luck. Hope you comeback on air soon.

Management of 98.7FM, do you think by increasing 1 more Extra Ris low would gain more listeners and increase the flow? Hi Ross, i would have thought that the whole getting pissed at Ris low on air saga was a huge publicity stunt. But being a vivid reader of yours, the only reason why i love reading is because you’re true to who you are be it on air or even here on your blog. And i’m so glad that there is FINALLY someone from the station of 987fm standing up to this Ris Low idea because everyone else seems so fake acting as though they are for this stupid and ridiculous idea of her joining the station. I personally feel that it is a disgrace to all deejays in fact because my teacher used to tell the class to listen to the radio cause that’s how we listen to proper and good english. But apparently, with Ris around now, our common sense will be decreasing every second her voice goes on air.
I applaud you Ross for standing up to Ris low! Not only is she stupid, but extremely ignorant.

It is definitely beyond your control. I seriously think that the one needs to be REMOVED should be the One who actually came up with this stupid idea. Obviously they were so blind that they could not see the entire mismatch – the Real Rozz and a Fake Ris!!!!
On top of everything, the inconsistency the management exhibited. Ris dint even have the decency to apologise!!!!! So rude!!!

I’m a avid listener of 98.7fm. Looked up your blog after the rave reviews or award you won. (Congrats by the way) And, I iust a few questions upon finding this “About Me” post. I’ve noticed your stand about religion, and I don’t mean to be offensive in any way, but just out of curiousity.
1: What then is your view upon this world? Do you believe there is a God, and it was God-created? Or are you leaning towards more on the theory of evolution. In another words, basically, what is your take on God?
2: What is your take on life? Purpose, Reason. Do you believe that we here living this life for a reason or there is simply no explanation to that. Or has this question ever dawned upon you or something in the first place?

01. i believe in the theory of evolution. i do not believe in the existence of a god. which means i do not believe in the “concept” of heaven or hell.
02. i dont like to waste time conjuring up grand theories on the meaning or purpose of life. i dont need to seek an explanation/reason for everything – it would drive me nuts. i much prefer to live my life to the fullest and to the best of my ability, to be of use to society and to the people around me. i belief we all exist. just like the trees, the animals and other lifeforms. we each exist to coexist. like mould on an old loaf, we just happen.

wanted to hear from someone who has been ‘there’ before.
well, who defines “boring”, “geeky”, “shy”? others? or did you come up with that on your own? do you feel comfy being yourself albeit “boring/geeky/shy”? if the answer is YES, then just be. there’s nothing more attractive than being comfortable with who you are.
sure we try to fit in. and we’d all wanna be included but there’s nothing wrong with being shy or geeky. geeks are cool. shyness is your nature. “boring” however is subjective. look to hang with people who have similar interests as you. either that or you can try to find something fun to be part of.
